HAP Affordable Housing Options
HAP has strategically acquired or developed approximately 3,900 units of affordable housing in 33 properties located throughout Multnomah County. These attractive, affordably-priced apartment homes are managed by professional property management companies.

HAP Public Housing
Our Public Housing portfolio totals 2,400 rental units located throughout Multnomah County. These units are owned and operated by HAP. Rent levels in Public Housing are approximately 30% of the household's monthly adjusted income.

HAP Section 8 Housing Voucher Program
Section 8 is an assistance program that offers families an opportunity to find an approved house or apartment to rent in the private market and negotiate a lease directly with the owner. HAP then pays a portion of the monthly rent. HAP assists approximately 8,000 households through this extremely popular program.
